Firsts, Lasts, and In-betweens

Blogging is completely new to me, but I figure that I had better start one to keep everyone up to date on my little family before it grows too much.  Besides, I have mastered facebook and I need a new challenge!  :)    I thought that as my first post I would talk about some fun Ethan things, considering he is my favorite little 8 month old around.  He is a crawling maniac!!  His favorite place to crawl is into the shower.  Our shower doesn't have a door, it's a wrap around shower, kind of like a cave.  Anyway, he will crawl in and shower with whoever happens to be in there.  He scared the crud out of Kurt today actually; closes his eyes to wash his face, and when he opens them there's a baby splashing in his water!  It was quite funny.  Ethan took a tumble down the stairs a week ago, another first, and hopefully last.  The stairs end in cement, we are really quite lucky that he didn't split his head open! He actually surfed down the stairs on the gate (which was put up wrong by a friends kid) and just scraped his finger and bumped his head.   I was told he looked like a smaller version of the jazz bear.
Ethan is starting to stand all by himself!  You can't tell in this picture very well, but he is standing without support!  He does fine until he realizes he isn't holding on to anything, then he tips over. I think he will be walking before 10 months.
Ethan's eighth tooth has finally poked through!  This one took about a month to finally make it's appearance. He was so great through all the teething, hardly even fussy. He has such a good demeanor, we are really lucky.  He is so quick to smile and give hugs, he has never met a person he didn't like.  And I have never met a person who didn't like him.
The other day he crawled into the kitchen to find me and got stuck under one of the chairs! Poor kid looks like he's in jail.
One of my favorite times of the day is definitely feeding time.  Especially on bath day.  That's when I will give him mac n cheese, or in this case, baked beans, and just let him go to town.  He LOVES it!  He could sit there all night long!
To explain the above photos,  there are three of my neices and nephews. These were at a family reunion. The pinata Beck is batting at is the strongest one I have ever seen!  It took at least half an hour for the teenagers to break through there's!  Crazy!  Crede went to town picking up candy though.
Here are a couple pictures of one of Ethans many harley outfits, and also the one of him in the chair, and one of him eating plastic streamers at the reunion.
He also LOVES to play the piano! Every time I sit down he is there within seconds ready to play!  That is very exciting to me, I can't wait to get him into lessons!
As you can see in the last two, I have colored and cut my hair..... and Kurt doesn't like it!  I love it though!
