I thought I would start the entry with a post of our first Christmas tree to our current Christmas tree. Kurt was always a real tree type of guy, but after our first Christmas I convinced him that fake is the only way to go. The proof is in the pictures.
This season has been really busy and REALLY fun!! We always do a lot of Christmas activities: Jon Schmidt (my favorite), MoTab (thats short for Mormon Tabernacle Choir), Forgotten Carols (which they changed and we didn't like it that much), Kurt went to Glenn Beck, Shepherds dinner, Christmas Eve dinner with the Daems (I didn't get any pictures!!!), and then Christmas at my mom's house. Whew!!!
The Shepherds dinner is a tradition we do every year. It's a night where everyone dresses like shepherds and we eat fish, lamb, bread, cheese, and other foods that shepherds may have eaten. We sit on the floor and eat with our hands by candle light and reminisce the true meaning of Christmas. We sing hymns and we see where the Spirit takes us. We look forward to this every year.
Little Ethan was not interested in opening presents! He helped a little, but he wanted to read and play instead. Then he saw what my mom gave us. No, not the wonderful books, but the box full of packing peanuts that the books were in....
We also got him a finger puppet nativity that he really loved.
These last few are just a few things that make me laugh. He loves suckers! He will put on in his mouth and suck and lick until the top part is completely gone, then he will throw it on the floor. As you can see, the top is gone, but the bottom hasn't even been touched. BTW, I love his hat!
Ethan loves to shower in momma's room. All I have to say is "Ethan, let's go take a shower" and he will get his towel and walk right in.
This last one, oh my little boy!!! Kurt was defrosting the downstairs mini fridge and I was setting up the Christmas Eve dinner and wasn't quite paying attention to what lil' Ethe was doing. I look over and he had taken ALL of the soda's out of the fridge and was stacking them into big towers! Thank heavens that none of them exploded when they hit the floor.
Happy holidays everyone!
