Christmas was a blast in the Daems household. I feel I should mention that Sethy has been sleeping through the night for the past week!! Yay!!! And Ethan slept through the night last night!
Ethan loved the whole Christmas season and everything that comes with it.
He made cookies with Grandma Daems and even let me take some pictures! The first two I had to sneak the camera around a corner and he was in the process of yelling "NO". I thought they were funny.
He made a HUGE snowman with daddy and enjoyed singing the snowman song as the snowman melted. (once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman....)
Ethan is such a joy and is constantly doing silly things and he loves making me laugh. In fact, if I don't laugh hard enough he will tell me that I need to roll on the floor to make the laugh more believable.
Sethy took his first shower and liked it for 5 minutes. I don't think showers are warm enough for him, though he loved feeling the water hit his hand.
Santa brought Eth new church clothes like daddy's because he starts primary next week!!
Immediately upon putting his new church clothes on he felt the need to show off by doing a stork stand.
I am feeling kind of sad that my baby is getting so big!!
And one of his favorite things from Christmas was....
TWISTER!!!

sorry for the crappy quality.

A few more things:
Ethan had a massive bubble bath the other day. Rhett, I thought you might be jealous.
We went to temple square.
Kurt and Eth picked apples and raked leaves at grandma Daems' house.
Kurt, Ethan, and grandpa Daems went to a hockey game.
Kurt said Ethan had cotton candy. He failed to mention that it was an Ethan sized bag of cotton candy.
And lastly, Sethy has a lot of grandpa Daems in him. I don't know where else he would have gotten his taste for lemons.
Christmas is always a busy time of year. It's so fun to do all of these things with the boys!
We started with decorating the house. Grandma Daems gave Ethan his own navity last year and Ethan loved setting it up. I love how he set it up, everything in the nativity is centered around baby Jesus.
I wanted to do an advent calendar, but I didn't want to have your typical house that you stick somewhere and open the doors, so I did stockings:
Every morning we get up, get a treat out of the stocking, and read a couple scriptures out of Luke II.
Ethan has started showing more and more of an interest in helping with Seth. He loves helping give Seth a bottle, especially since he 'doesn't have milk in his tummy' to feed him with. :)
A few days ago one of our dearest friends came to visit. We hadn't seen Abbie in almost 3 years, even though she only lives half an hour away. We talked a million miles an hour trying to catch up, and so I only got one picture:
Ethan STILL talks about Warner coming to visit, and I can get him to do just about anything if I say something to the effect of "This is Warners favorite ....."
Abbie, thanks so much for visiting! I will be a better friend and come see you more often!

Here's what Thanksgiving means to me:
That blizzard made me laugh. Especially when the little snow we did have decided to land on our steps and....
our rug. Somehow it missed the porch.

And to finish off with some random things:
Grandpa Daems
Cleaning the motorcycle
What happened when I said "Ethan, smile!"
The first snow fall
Ethan making a Chinese yo yo with funnels.
Helping get Seth up from his nap (notice the look on Seth's face)
Seth can sit in his high chair!!!!!
Seth has found that he likes mac n cheese.
Kurt has taught Ethan the importance of planning!!! Ethan loves looking at the calender every day.
And Kurt had a birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! That morning before work Ethan kept giving Kurt rolls of wrapping paper and saying 'Happy birthday dad!'
He also blew out his candles and opened his presents.
Kurt came home from work one day dressed like this. Weirdo. Nuff said.
Then I saw that Ethan had started being kinda weird too.

Ethan's laugh is the greatest.

By the way, Ethan laughs hysterically every time he sees this video.

Halloween

I am going to backtrack a little. I just downloaded a bunch of pictures off my camera..... I didn't realize what was on there until now. So I will take us back to when we carved pumpkins. Ethan thought this was the coolest thing ever and loved to stick his hands in the gooshy stuff.
Kurt took at least 20 pictures to try and get a good one of the boys.....
The finished pumpkins.
And then the trigger treating in the rain.

I would like to introduce everyone to Tay.
He is my little brother. He left today to the MTC and it has been a mere 12 hours since I gave him my last hug, but I miss him terribly. I will do a follow up post on the last 4 days of partying and of his farewell, but I need to get the pictures from my mom. What I don't understand is how he went from this
to this
so quickly!!!
(don't mind our 'stupid faces')
I really feel like it was just the other day that I said "Mom, Tay only has 2 years before he leaves on his mission..." Where did those 2 years go?!?!
Alright, I'm done moping, the next post will be happier.
