Some things to think about....

I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

There are two kinds of pedestrians: the quick and the dead.

Life is sexually transmitted.

Healthy is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

Have you noticed since everyone has a camcorder these days no one talks about seeing UFOs like they used to?

Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

In the 60′s, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal..

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, ‘I think I’ll squeeze these dangly things and drink whatever comes out?’

Along those same lines, who saw the chicken lay an egg and then decide to eat it?

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a song about him?

Why does your OB-GYN leave the room when you get undressed if they are going to look up there anyway?

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from?

Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup?

Does pushing the elevator button more than once make it arrive faster?

Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

Last post of the night

Now just some happenings with the boys.
Ethan....
Was introduced to vampire teeth.
Stood up under the trampoline and cut his head open on the hook of a spring. After determining it wasn't bad enough to go to the ER I bandaged him up. Ethan thought he looked pretty cool but if anyone has any better ideas to bandage a cut that's in the hair let me know.
Seth...
Only wakes up twice a night most nights!!
Held and drank out of a sippy for the first time today!
Has mastered the art of rolling over. Maybe I should start buckling him into this thing.

Racing!

I am going to apologize in advance for butchering all the titles and technical jargon in the racing world.
.
Through a series of events that I am not going to take the time to write, Kurt made friends with a man named Davy Jones. Davy is a race car driver, and a dang good one at that. He is quite a legend in the racing world, he won the La Mans 24 hour race and took 2nd in the Indy 500! Davy was racing out at Miller Sports Park last weekend and I had the opportunity to go out there on Friday and meet Davy, his sweet wife Rachel, and their little girl Carrera. They gave us such a warm welcome, it was as if we had been childhood friends. I was instantly part of the family, and so were my boys. Rachel instantly took Seth and disappeared somewhere, it was as if she could sense that I needed a break. Carrera was napping when we first arrived, but when she woke up she wouldn't let Seth out of her sight! And Davy was such a sweet person that I would have had no idea that he is a racing legend had Kurt not told me. Ever since Kurt and I went to our first (and last) NASCAR race I decided that all race car drivers were rednecks. Period. Davy and his family are such normal and cool people that I felt bad for stereotyping the racing world. I had no idea how fun watching a race could be, especially when you know a driver. All in all it was a great experience and I look forward to seeing the Jones family in the future.
.
Davy getting ready for the photoshoot. (I am pretty sure he never thought he would be forced into make-up)
Davy and Carrera.
Ethan, being his normal studly self.
.
On a side note, the next day I was heading up to Logan and Kurt went out to the race track again to watch the race. As he was sitting in the VIP boxes a driver came up and sat next to him. They got to talking and the man was none other than Patrick Dempsey!
And the worst part is that Kurt has absolutely no idea who that is. So here is McDreamy trying to convince Kurt that he actually is a movie star and Kurt telling him "Sure, so am I." I bet it was pretty refreshing to be treated like a normal human for once.
The other day I slept decent for the 1st time in 5 months!!! Really, it's been more than 3 years, but these last few months have been especially rough. Anyway, I had woken up on my own and knew that Ethan was awake and was thinking of how grateful I was that Eth let me sleep and all the things I was going to do with him to show my gratitude. Then I heard a big crash followed by Ethan crying. So I run upstairs and met him about halfway to the kitchen and I held him for a minute before I started checking him out. When I pulled him away from me I saw his mouth was covered in blood, so I start freaking a little bit and checking to make sure he still had all his teeth, but I noticed the blood had a weird texture. Then I realized it wasn't blood at all.... it was red sprinkles. I walk into the kitchen and I am greeted with this:
If there is anything I hate worse than cleaning it is having to clean the second you get up. And these stupid red sprinkles took me half an hour of elbow grease to get clean. Needless to say he was sent to his room and is forbidden by penalty of an early bedtime to ever play in the spice cabinet again.

Dinosaur Park

I can't tell you much about this event because it was a father, son adventure. Now that I finally have uploaded the pictures I can tell you that it was a good thing I wasn't there.
.
Here is the first shot. Notice the rope fence around the dinosaurs. They were probably put there to discourage kids from playing on the exhibits, right?
Now look at the next series of photos, but pay close attention to where Ethan is in relation to that rope fence.
Here they even upgraded to a steel pipe, but did that deter those boys?
Of course not!!!

Ethan touched the frying pan today. Didn't cry at all, though the bottom lip jutted out pretty far and he needed a good hug.
I think this video turned out pretty good considering I was tickling AND holding the camera.
