So Sick

My family has been SO SICK this week! It started with Kurt. Sunday, high fever, chills, sweats, chills, sweats, achy, achy, achy. Then Seth and me. Same thing. Poor Seth was miserable, didn't know what was going on with his body. Tylenol barely worked. Would NOT let me put a cold rag on his head, screamed and screamed. I'd post a picture but it would break everyone's heart. He was so so sad looking. Seth is on the mend, his temp is only at 101 now (it's been at 104+) and he's happy!! Now Ethan is at 104.... He has a much higher pain tolerance. I didn't even know he was sick! He kept saying "mom, I'm cold and my feet hurt, I think I stepped on something". I checked his feet, nada. Gave him a kiss on the forehead to make him feel better and I am pretty sure he left 2nd degree burns on my lips. :) Now he has a rag on his head and is watching TV. I think we've had the TV on more this last week than we have in Ethan's whole life. Anyway, I am glad no one is throwing up. And I'm grateful for bubble baths.

My little Mozart

This is one of Seth's favorite games, we call it Balancing Baby. Don't mind the shaking camera, I think it is pretty darn good for a 3 year old. He even kept us in the frame almost the whole time!

Sethy had his first taste of ice cream. He liked it a little too much.

Skiing among other things

Ethan did so good on his first day of skiing!! He was so brave, and stinkin' talented! By his fourth run down the bunny hill he was going all by himself (with kurt skiing backwards in front of him) and making wide turns. I was impressed!

The last run of the day I bopped him pretty good, cut his mouth and gums. Poor boy.

Ethan also had his first day of primary! I feel like crying every time I drop him off, when did my boy get so big? He is such a handsome devil too.

This next set of photos remind me of a poem, I'm not sure why Ethan felt the need to climb into sethy's tub.

Date Night

Kurt and I have a goal to go on more dates. December alone filled our date quota for the entire year, and Ethan did surprising well with being babysat so much. One day he came up and asked "Mom, when do mommy and Ethan get to go on date?" As a general rule of thumb, if a cute boy asks you out, GO!!! So we went to Tepenyaki and had SO much fun!! He is such a fun kid!

Christmas was a blast in the Daems household. I feel I should mention that Sethy has been sleeping through the night for the past week!! Yay!!! And Ethan slept through the night last night!

Ethan loved the whole Christmas season and everything that comes with it.

He made cookies with Grandma Daems and even let me take some pictures! The first two I had to sneak the camera around a corner and he was in the process of yelling "NO". I thought they were funny.

He made a HUGE snowman with daddy and enjoyed singing the snowman song as the snowman melted. (once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman....)

Ethan is such a joy and is constantly doing silly things and he loves making me laugh. In fact, if I don't laugh hard enough he will tell me that I need to roll on the floor to make the laugh more believable.

Sethy took his first shower and liked it for 5 minutes. I don't think showers are warm enough for him, though he loved feeling the water hit his hand.

Santa brought Eth new church clothes like daddy's because he starts primary next week!!

Immediately upon putting his new church clothes on he felt the need to show off by doing a stork stand.

I am feeling kind of sad that my baby is getting so big!!
